The Amazon River Health
Pollution is a real threat to the Amazon. It threatens the people, the animals, and the forest itself.
Most of the pollution comes from industrial facilities. There have been cases of cancer and death as a result of drinking the polluted water.
Animal species are becoming extinct because they live in delicate balance with the environment.
The forest is also greatly affected by certain pollutants that destroy vegetation. Near textile mills, vegetation is limited and hardly even weeds are able to grow.
